This procedure is used to correct skin excess of the upper arms, which is a result of massive weight loss and ageing. This entails removal of skin on the inner arm, sometimes the arm pit and very rarely down the chest (extended brachioplasty). Dr Moodley frequently combines a brachioplasty with circumferential arm liposuction to obtain a beautifully contoured arm. The scar is strategically placed so as to be near invisible from the front and behind. Brachioplasty scars generally heal very well.
