Rhinoplasty: surgical, revision and non-surgical

A rhinoplasty, known by most patients as a “nose job” or “nose reshaping” surgery, is a great option for individuals interested in achieving well-proportioned facial and nasal features.

The benefits of rhinoplasty surgery include:

  • Enhanced Facial Symmetry: With primary rhinoplasty, patients can improve facial symmetry and ensure that the nose appears symmetrical relative to the cheeks, chin and other facial features.
  • Long-Lasting Cosmetic Improvements: Helps patients improve nose size in relation to facial balance, nose width, a nasal tip that is enlarged or bulbous and other nasal issues.
  • Correction of Birth Defects: For individuals who were born with malformations of the nose, surgery helps repair and alleviate these issues.
  • Improved Breathing: Sometimes, a nose job is performed to eliminate breathing difficulties.

Revision rhinoplasty commonly referred to as secondary rhinoplasty or revision nose surgery is used to address unwanted results following a primary nose job. In some instances, revision rhinoplasty is performed to repair aesthetic and/or functional problems of the nose that arise following initial rhinoplasty surgery. Revision rhinoplasty may also be performed to correct the shortcomings of a prior rhinoplasty procedure.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty offers nose reshaping without surgery

Non-surgical rhinoplasty uses dermal fillers and Botox to transform the nose into a more aesthetic shape and proportions. Dermal fillers are utilised to smooth, volumize and create symmetry. This treatment offers correction for a broad range of complaints, without the need for anaesthetics, incisions or an extended recovery process. The procedure typically takes under one hour to complete, with some patients only needing a few minutes to achieve stellar improvements. Most nasal fillers last up to two years.
