A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, addresses changes in the breasts due to ageing, genetics or post-pregnancy, that result in a droopy (ptosis) and poorly aesthetic breast shape and size. Mastopexy addresses the three main problems of a ptotic breast: it reduces the skin envelope, it remodels the breast tissue and repositions the nipple on the most projecting part of the breast mound.

A breast lift can rejuvenate your figure with a breast profile that is more youthful and uplifted.

The two forms of mastopexy are either an inverted T or a vertical short scar pattern.

If there is insufficient breast tissue to achieve a satisfactory breast shape a breast implant can be used together with the mastopexy. This is also called an augmentation mastopexy.
